Day 302: Deer sighting!

As S and I drove down a busy street near Georgetown, we spotted a lovely deer! We have seen them in other areas near us, but not on this side of town.

Day 283: Library of Congress

The dinner for our conference was held at the Library of Congress. Pretty spectacular.

Day 218: Discovery

Today, the space shuttle Discovery made its final flight, and it took a few loops around the metro area for us to be able to see it in the air.  I made it to the Cathedral grounds just in time to see it in action.

I took the train up to New Haven, and while reading the magazine, I found this ad for a cool exhibit in Florida.

Day 55: Lamplight

S and I went down to Georgetown to do some errands, and he pointed out that some of the houses have streetlights with actual flames.  I really want one of these at my house!
