Day 171: The new phone

S finally replaced his broken phone with this high tech model.  Here I am demonstrated its extra-large letters, which the young man at the store explained to S are important for older people who have trouble seeing.  Like S.

Day 170: Ouch

I was none too graceful this afternoon.  I somehow smashed my nose against a door this afternoon, and I was reduced to icing it with frozen corn.

Day 169: Party preparations

 

Our neighbors invited us to a party to meet the people on our street and the surrounding streets.  I didn't realize it was going to be a proper evening until the party supply van pulled up and they started unloading tables, dishes, glasses, and linen.  Fun!

Day 168: Baby friends

We have some good friends who live just a few miles north of us, and we went over for a Sunday play date.  The babies had lots of fun together, and A finally submitted to a kiss from little Lala.

Day 167: Cake

I got the idea into my head that I should bake a cake.  I bought the frosting and the cake flour, and we had raspberries at home, so I went with a chocolate raspberry cake.  It turned out really well!

Day 166: Blooming

It's too early, but the cherry blossom trees are getting ready to bloom.

Day 165: Flowers

The first crocuses have bloomed in our yard.

Day 164: Messy

My desk needs cleaning badly.

Day 163: Pancake day

The day before Lent begins means pancakes for dinner!

Day 162: Mahashivratri

We went to the temple today to celebrate Mahashivratri.

Day 161: Happy boy

He's doing very well at sorting shapes.

Day 160: Air and space

We met a friend at the Air and Space museum.  Dad and son had a nice time.

Day 159: Baby injury

Little guy sustained some injuries this week.

Day 158: Raspberries

Baby loves raspberries.

The boy is getting very good at throwing the baseball.

My valentines went overboard giving me a happy Valentine's day.

Day 155: Downton

A lovely two hours worth of Downton was watched today.

Day 149: Cab ride

I had another meeting downtown this morning, and I was going to take public transit back home, but in the end, I decided to just take a taxi instead.

Day 148: Car show

We have been telling A about the auto show all week, and today was finally the day when we all checked it out.  Baby was in heaven...he got to sit in all kinds of cars and trucks, he ran about all over the convention center, and he watched a little model car race on a mini racetrack. Fun!

Day 147: Play time

Baby's new favorite past time is to beat the exercise ball with his bat. Fun times for Daddy and me.

Day 146: Meeting me on the way home

If you look closely at the end of the sidewalk, you can see my guys walking to meet me.  I had a meeting downtown, and I took the bus back home, so they were coming to meet me as I walked back from the bus stop.  It was a nice surprise!

Day 145: My new gloves

My 'new' gloves that I bought in London at one of my favorite vintage shops.
