Day 356: Labor Day brunch

Our friends invited us over for brunch, and we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful feast they cooked up for us.

Day 342: Dog and bag

Doggie decided to hang out with me while I was working in my office today.

Day 327: Play date

We had a nice play date today with a mom and baby from my moms' group.  I neglected to take a photo of them while they were here, so I snapped this while they were going home!

Day 307: Visit with friends

We had a late afternoon/early evening visit with our friend Valerie (pictured here trying to hold on to a squirmy baby) and met her friends at her new apartment.

Day 282: Baseball game

My colleague was in town for a conference, so we took in a Nats game. 

Day 272: Party

We had A's birthday party at Glen Echo, and he had a great time!

Day 264: Happy birthday

Today was a busy day.  We started out going to breakfast at a new diner, then went to the party store and the magic shop, and then to a street festival in the town just north of us.  We went home for a nap for the boys, while I went to see a couple of houses for sale.  Our friend Michael had a birthday party today, and we three attended that in the early evening.  Then we came home, and S went out with his friends. It was a crazy day!

Day 257: Sightseeing

My friend from home was in town for the day, so we three showed her and her boyfriend around our fair city.  This was from the steps of the Capitol.

Day 254: Story time

 

I took A to meet his buddy and nanny at the library for story time!

Day 252: EOM

My colleague George won Employee of the Month for our department, and I traveled up to New Haven for a big celebration that was held in his honor.  My boss gave a speech, and we all wore bow ties.

Day 242: Skype

A friend recently returned from a long trip, so we had a Skype chat to catch up.

Day 240: Big city

Another day in the big city. I had a great day attending a conference, doing some shopping, and having dinner with a friend I haven't seen in a while.

My lovely friend Helen sent me this card! What fun it was to get this in the mail.

Day 216: The W

I had always heard that the rooftop bar at the W Hotel downtown was cool, but I'd never been. Until today.

Day 215: Friends

We were able to have a quick visit with some old friends before we left New York, and A got to meet a new friend, Dean.

Day 209: Easter with family

We had a full table at Easter lunch.

Day 182: Happy birthday

We enjoyed a homemade South Indian dinner at our friends' home, celebrating the birthdays of these two wonderful kids!

Day 168: Baby friends

We have some good friends who live just a few miles north of us, and we went over for a Sunday play date.  The babies had lots of fun together, and A finally submitted to a kiss from little Lala.

Day 129: Happy birthday

Our friends' son had a birthday to celebrate, so we joined in. S even did a little magic show for the guests.

Day 127: Dinner with friends

We met our friends at our favorite vegetarian Chinese restaurant.
