Day 336: Cousins

Day 335: Choo choo

We took the kids to a local train-themed restaurant that brings your food on a little train.  A was really excited when the train finally brought his grilled cheese.

Day 292: Road trip

Although we were already considering taking a trip to see my relatives in PA before today, the fact that we lost power with no hopes of getting it back in the near future definitely helped make up our minds.

Day 280: Bubbles

Someone received a belated birthday present!

Day 272: Party

We had A's birthday party at Glen Echo, and he had a great time!

Day 213: NYC!

We made it to the city!

Day 212: Breakfast with Papa

Baby had breakfast with Papa before we started our journey to New York.  Baby is sitting in the high chair I used to use as a baby!

Day 210: Cousins trip to the aquarium

We took the cousins to the Shedd Aquarium for a look at the fish.

Day 209: Easter with family

We had a full table at Easter lunch.

Day 208: Blessing of the baskets

We made it to Chicago just in time to go to the annual blessing of the Easter baskets at my home parish. There were loads of baskets!

Day 201: Kites

Today was the kite festival on the Mall.  We all went and had a great time flying our kite!

Day 194: Gudhi Padwa

We took my in-laws to the mandal's Gudhi Padwa event way out in the Virginia suburbs. We all had a good time, although baby spilled water all over his nice outfit, so he had to put on his pajamas.

Day 110: Pierogi

The parents went home today, but we have this delicious reminder of my mom's cooking: homemade pierogi.

Day 108: Merry Christmas!

The big hit of the day was A's new car from Grandma and Papa.  He loves it!

Day 106: Parking

We three adults (my parents and I) temporarily lost our minds and ventured to the mall two days before Christmas.  This was to remind us where we'd parked.

Day 105: The tree

The parents have arrived and there are loads of presents under the tree!

Day 100: PA

After a late start, I finally got on the road to Pennsylvania. 

Day 79: Thanksgiving!

Since S had to work on Thanksgiving, we celebrated the next day.  I made all of our lovely dinner, which turned out really nice.  We have a lot to be thankful for.

Day 61: Columbia River Valley

We met S's parents in the Valley on our way back from Walla Walla.  It was a cloudy but beautiful view.

Day 60: Walla Walla

The primary reason for this trip was to visit S's grandmother, who is 97 and lives in Walla Walla, WA.  We had a really time visiting her and taking her to breakfast.  On the way out, we stopped in town and I made S pose with Flat Stanley at Onion World.  Walla Walla is known for its Walla Walla Sweet onions.
